The six (6) member strong Coalition of Fil-Am Chambers of Commerce of SOCAL (composed of FACC- Greater Los Angeles, Southbay LA Area, Tri County, Hollywood, Orange County, & San Diego) has successfully undertaken a Business Forum on Contracting Opportunities in the City of LA under the auspices of the Philippine Consulate Office in LA headed by Consul General Adelio Angelito Cruz and the LA Board of Public Works headed by Commissioner Joel Jacinto last Feb. 24 at the FACLA MultiPurpose Hall in downtown LA. Thank you to all our valued guest speakers, delegates and chapter members who attended this milestone event. More beneficial projects for our Fil Am small business entrepreneurs are underway in the next months to come.
From the inspiring words of our Philippine Consulate General Adelio Angelito Cruz and Commissioner Joel Jacinto of the Board of Public Works, City of LA, all Filipino American business organizations should unite, collaborate and cooperate rather than compete with each other. An epitome of unity and strength shown by the six (6) chapter member strong Coalition of Fil-Am Chambers of Commerce of Southern California in the recent Business Forum held at FACLA Multi Purpose Hall today, Feb. 24 titled “Doing Business with the City of LA”. Many thanks to the full support of Los Angeles city government officials headed by Commissioner Joel Jacinto of the Board of Public Works, Mr. Max Reyes of the LA Mayor’s Office for Economic Development, Ms. Fidji Victoriano, Business Counselor of SIPA, Mr. John Pattison, Ms. Hannah Choi and Ms. Angelica Tumbucon of the LA Bureau of Contract Administration and to the 3 Fil-Am successful entrepreneur guests who shared their personal testimonies on how they got into government contract jobs.
